Enjoy skyline and Ohio River views from a stroll across the pedestrian-only Newport Southbank Bridge, known locally as the Purple People Bridge, into Historic Newport, Kentucky.

Established in 1795, Newport has a colorful history that included gangsters, nightclubs, and gambling halls.  Today Newport has undergone significant redevelopment with Newport on the Levee, the Newport Aquarium, and the latest, the Ovation Music Pavilion.

Newport remains a mix of new and old, preserving its history in places like stately East Historical Row. Their stately mansions and tree-lined streets are best explored on foot or by bike.
